👍 POSITIVE
I find America’s obsession with SUVs to be the least concerning of our toxic traits, personally. Beautiful car. Love those wheels. Denim blue has really grown on me over the last few years too.
👍 POSITIVE
I covet the S60. Our neighbours have one. I have the XC60, which I also love, but our lifestyle isn't ready for the S60. Once the kids are gone ... all bets are off!
👍 POSITIVE
I would say that all Models are generally speaking welk built. Big differentiator will be the engine. The 5 cyl petrol engines are very solid, I believe the 2.0 petrol 4 cyl is great as well. We just bought a 2012 v70 T4 (1.6 petrol), what appears to be a Ford Ecoboost engine. According to the reviews they are reliable, but maybe nog the best companion in mountainous aereas, compared to the bigger
👍 POSITIVE
I can only speak for myself but I’ve owned two Volvo C30’s (2009 pre-facelift and 2012) both were the 2.0 petrol, 4-cylinder and both proved really reliable. No turbo and no cambelt (rather a timing chain). Maintenance wasn’t too expensive and they were decent on fuel. I did an oil change service every 10k kilometers (even though the recommended interval was 15k). Avoid the Powershift dual-clu
👍 POSITIVE
you have gotten great recommendations, all i know, if it says D2, D3, D4 or even D5 its a really good diesel engine, if there is issues with the car, it wont be the engine. (ofc do services) but i deffintly know that the 5 cyclinder engines are top of class. i had an D4 v70 2014 that was amazing, so smooth, so nice to drive. an amazing car all in all, i rearely hear that the engine is an issue
👎 NEGATIVE
Stay away from up to 2012-16 due to the oil consumption issue that led to the class action lawsuit. There was a very real issue with the piston rings. They fixed the issue after those years but many including myself had an engine blown early. Did not start to show until you hit close to 50k in mileage. Love the cars but not in those years. Anyone saying anything else is just not being honest. ht
👍 POSITIVE
As a P3 owner. Yes. Those 3.2s are really reliable and the 2012 model is probably one of the best years to get. In this market, 8k for a clean Volvo XC is really good value
👍 POSITIVE
It is nice :) Just make sure you like the engine! Love the color, it will drive like a dream; softer than a normal volvo over bumps:)
👍 POSITIVE
When you do the PPI, also take it through a car wash and check for windshield leaks. There’s a known issue with the 2012 model year where the seal was insufficient. Easy to fix but it can cause issues with the expensive City Safety electronics behind the rear view mirror. I had to replace mine. Other than that, I love my 2012 and would recommend one highly.
👍 POSITIVE
Yes. I drive a 2010 and it's awesome. Not as sporty as my old V70 but still a highway and off road beast.
