1.3i 16V P (90 Hp) 4WD Automatic Verdict:

Rating 3 stars

Performance Verdict

With 90 Hp and 4WD coupled with an automatic transmission, performance is modest. It's suitable for light off-road and slippery conditions but lacks highway overtaking power.

Fuel Economy

The 4WD system and automatic gearbox slightly impact fuel efficiency compared to 2WD versions, making it an acceptable but not outstanding choice for economy.

Best Use Case: Mixed driving with occasional light off-road excursions or in areas with challenging weather conditions, prioritizing traction over speed.

Pros and Cons:

Pros:

  • • Compact and maneuverable, ideal for city driving
  • • Available 4WD system provides good traction for light off-road or adverse weather
  • • Toyota/Daihatsu reliability ensures dependable ownership
  • • Practical interior with decent cargo space for its size
  • • Turbocharged engine offers surprisingly good performance

Cons:

  • • Naturally aspirated engines can feel underpowered, especially with automatic and 4WD
  • • Interior design and materials are dated compared to modern SUVs
  • • Lack of modern safety features and no Euro NCAP rating
  • • Not ideal for long highway journeys due to limited power and potentially firm ride
  • • Fuel economy for 4WD automatic versions can be average
