Gosh you are amazing! Thanks for sharing! I already have my setup, but I wish I had all this info a few years ago! So useful!

WOW this was an awesome post of info. I just recently purchased a 2018 Crosstrek and have been doing tons of research on how to properly change my set up. I have the OEM 17" and am looking into getting the Black Rhino Boxer wheels in 15" which I believe covers the brakes and calipers. I was thinking about doing the Falken Wildpeak 235/75/15 . I know I need to lift my vehicle so by any chance c

I always looked down on Subaru until I got one, thing is a tank so far
👎 NEGATIVE
2015 Crosstrek went through 3 CVTs and a set of headgaskets before we traded it in at 150,000km. All maintenance done religiously. Fuck Subarus.
👎 NEGATIVE
Every Subaru my family has owned has eaten oil, cv axles and/or had a major transmission failure before 120k miles. I think the brand is way overhyped because they popularized AWD as a standard offering in their base models.
👍 POSITIVE
Objectively, Subarus tend to hold their market value better than most other brands, and they incorporate more safety features as standard equipment (i.e., not as extra-cost options) than many other car manufacturers.
👍 POSITIVE
Subaru had had "Nissan CVT" levels of problems in the past with a few specific engines (and... with a select owner group of 17 year old guys driving the piss out of them) but they have been beyond reliable for a long time now.
👍 POSITIVE
If you listen to Consumer Reports the current Subarus are very highly rated.

My last one hit 338k miles. It ate 8-9 CV axles but engine and transmission and components were original. Oil every 4k mi, trans at 60k mi intervals, transfer case the same. Plugs at 75k mi intervals. Thats it.
