Rating 3 stars

Performance Verdict

The entry-level diesel provides modest performance, best suited for city driving and light loads where outright speed is not a priority.

Fuel Economy

Good fuel economy, though slightly less efficient than the 'Energy' variants due to the lack of start&stop technology.

Best Use Case: City / Utility

Pros and Cons:

Pros:

  • • Excellent practicality and versatile cargo space for families and businesses.
  • • Highly fuel-efficient diesel engine options, especially the 'Energy' variants.
  • • Comfortable and compliant ride quality for its class, absorbing road imperfections well.
  • • Robust and proven K9K dCi engines offer good long-term reliability.
  • • Affordable running costs and strong residual values for a utility vehicle.

Cons:

  • • Modest performance from entry-level engines, particularly the lower-powered diesels and naturally aspirated petrols.
  • • Petrol engines are significantly less fuel-efficient than their diesel counterparts.
  • • Interior quality, while practical, can feel basic and utilitarian in some trims.
  • • Safety rating based on a 2008 test protocol, which is less stringent than later standards.
  • • Noticeable wind and road noise at higher speeds, typical for a boxier vehicle design.
