3.5 i V6 24V (240 Hp) 4WD Verdict:

Rating 4 stars

Performance Verdict

Similar to the 2WD variant, the 4WD version maintains strong performance with the VQ35DE engine. The added weight and drivetrain complexity of 4WD might slightly impact acceleration, but it remains a capable performer.

Fuel Economy

The 4WD system, while offering improved traction, will inherently lead to slightly higher fuel consumption compared to the 2WD model due to increased drivetrain losses and weight. It's the thirstier option.

Best Use Case: Regions with challenging weather conditions (snow, rain) or light off-road/gravel road use, where enhanced traction is beneficial.

Pros and Cons:

Pros:

  • • Spacious and luxurious interior with versatile seating
  • • Smooth and powerful VQ35DE V6 engine
  • • Comfortable ride quality, ideal for long journeys
  • • Distinctive and appealing styling
  • • Excellent value for money as a used import

Cons:

  • • High fuel consumption, especially for the 4WD model
  • • Large dimensions can make parking and maneuvering challenging
  • • Parts availability for specific JDM components can be an issue outside Japan
  • • Road tax and insurance costs can be high in some markets
  • • Older models may have rust issues depending on climate
