Performance Verdict

The 4G63T engine in the Evo V is a legendary powerhouse, delivering exhilarating acceleration (0-100 km/h in 4.9s) and strong torque across the rev range, thanks to its robust turbocharger. It's a highly tunable and responsive unit.

Fuel Economy

As a high-performance, rally-derived engine from 1998, fuel economy is not its strong suit. Expect relatively high fuel consumption, especially under spirited driving conditions.
