GTS 3.0 i V6 24V (210 Hp) Automatic Verdict:

Rating 4 stars

Performance Verdict

The 3.0L V6 (6G72 engine code) offers smooth, adequate power for comfortable cruising and highway driving, though it's not designed for aggressive sports car performance. The 210 Hp output is respectable for its time, paired with a relaxed automatic transmission.

Fuel Economy

Fuel economy is typical for a naturally aspirated V6 of its time, with urban consumption around 11.8 l/100 km (20 MPG US) and extra-urban at 8.7 l/100 km (27 MPG US), making it less efficient by modern standards.

Best Use Case: Weekend cruising, highway touring, and enjoyable open-air drives where a balance of power and reliability is desired over outright sportiness.

Pros and Cons:

Pros:

  • • Distinctive styling (especially post-facelift)
  • • Reliable 3.0L V6 engine (6G72)
  • • Enjoyable open-air driving experience
  • • Relatively affordable on the used market
  • • Comfortable for cruising

Cons:

  • • Dated interior design and materials
  • • Noticeable body flex/scuttle shake common in convertibles of this era
  • • Fuel economy is not competitive by modern standards
  • • Automatic transmission can feel sluggish
  • • Limited trunk space with top down
