Toyota Corolla:

The Toyota Corolla is a series of compact cars manufactured and marketed globally by the Japanese automaker Toyota Motor Corporation. Introduced in 1966, the Corolla has been the world's best-selling automobile nameplate of all time since 1997, when it surpassed the Volkswagen Beetle. Toyota reached the milestone of 50 million Corollas sold over twelve generations in 2021.
The name Corolla is part of Toyota's naming tradition of using names derived from the Toyota Crown for sedans, with "corolla" Latin for "small crown". The Corolla has always been exclusive in Japan to Toyota Corolla Store locations, and manufactured in Japan with a twin, called the Toyota Sprinter until 2000. From 2006 to 2018 in Japan and much of the world, and from 2018 to 2020 in Taiwan, the hatchback companion had been called the Toyota Auris....(Read more on Wikipedia)

👍 POSITIVE
As a car guy, these are the same things I was thinking. Welcome to the club!
👍 POSITIVE
As much as I love my GR Corolla, my ND2 Miata was even more fun. But GRC is the best of all worlds. Performance, space things, reasonable mpg. I needed the space as I travel for work.
👍 POSITIVE
The GR is such a fun car. Happy to see someone else mention the vague clutch. I only test drove one, but that was my only mechanical complaint.
👍 POSITIVE
As a car guy I think all your points are spot on and my biggest and only real worry before I got the grolla was the turbo lag cuz I was coming from a Miata that had awesome throttle response (tho it was a lot slower) but now that I’ve gotten used to the lag I find it quite amusing when the boost kicks in. It always puts a smile on my face
👍 POSITIVE
Infiltrating car guy turnt motorcyclist here, the GR Corolla is probably like the only other car I’d wanna own in this day and age. It’s got pretty good gas mileage, flies under the radar enough, and has more than enough tech and features.
👍 POSITIVE
I daily mine, I usually don't drive it too crazy, mostly highway rollin to work and back. Put it in 6 and ride. Usually get around 28 mpg, which is a little less than I'd like from a daily but way better than I expected from a 300hp turbo car. I've seen people getting better mileage than me even, I just can't because I love boost. But that's what I love about this car, I can add a couple 2nd-5th p
👍 POSITIVE
I didn’t notice any rev hang or vague clutch with this car This car has a very pronounced clutch and a very easy one too
👍 POSITIVE
I got one as a option cause I can't carry all my camera stuff on my bike. I think the grc is a nice car that is super fun. Not a high profile car either. Most people go it's a Toyota and nothing more. The Op got most of what I would have said about it. I love my bike but damn I only put 300 miles on this GRC and it's super fun to drive on the same roads I like to ride my bike on. Just different. L
👎 NEGATIVE
I thought mine was ok. Driving like an 11k miles is all I got so plan on 1 to 2 sets of tires if its a daily. That’s 1200 to 2400 a year folks!old man it ate through tires in 11k miles due to toyota giving it an aggressive toe to make it handle better.
👎 NEGATIVE
Reliability you have yo wait after 100K miles, so many problems already and MPG isn’t the greatest. I think the 25 model and up will be the perfect ones
