Toyota Corolla:

The Toyota Corolla is a series of compact cars manufactured and marketed globally by the Japanese automaker Toyota Motor Corporation. Introduced in 1966, the Corolla has been the world's best-selling automobile nameplate of all time since 1997, when it surpassed the Volkswagen Beetle. The name Corolla is part of Toyota's naming tradition of using names derived from the Toyota Crown for sedans, with "corolla" Latin for "small crown". The Corolla has always been exclusive in Japan to Toyota Corolla Store locations, and manufactured in Japan with a twin, called the Toyota Sprinter until 2000. From 2006 to 2018 in Japan and much of the world, and from 2018 to 2020 in Taiwan, the hatchback companion had been called the Toyota Auris....(Read more on Wikipedia)

It’s true. It’s like a rite of passage. I had a 98 rolla and drove that bitch to extinction. I did so much shit to it when I was younger, I abused it and it never let me down. I had doubts as to how far I’d feel like taking it but I drove that shit on hella road trips surprisingly. It was a good car, loyal. No issues ever. Just get the oil change and you good. I miss it, I’ll never forget when I w
👍 POSITIVE
It was a good first car 20 years ago. Now it’s a classic. Buy a daily, keep this one inside.
👎 NEGATIVE
Badass car but maybe not a great first car. First cars get totaled and wrecked.
👎 NEGATIVE
No. Cars from 1987 are NOT SAFE compared to modern cars, and you need a safe car.
👎 NEGATIVE
great first car. for ten thousand? holy shit, no. get something else.
👎 NEGATIVE
What a sucker who buys this for $10K. Worth 3 to 4K absolute max.
👎 NEGATIVE
How is this going for $10k. I drove the GTS in silver with same interior in college 22 years ago and would laugh if it is a classic now. Mine was nice but ate oil until I blew up the engine in the high 200k miles. Dad update: bought ours in 1997 for $3500 with maybe 120k miles. Had a nice sunroof and spoiler
👎 NEGATIVE
Don’t buy a car that is more than 15-20 years old as a first car. It’s not a good idea.
👎 NEGATIVE
Don't get me wrong, it's a cool cat, but get something else as a first car. Get something newer that you don't care about so much. Do your basic maintenance, drive the hell out of it, weep when scratches get on it, etc. You want something cheap that you can learn on. That Corolla right there is nice, but I'd rather learn to appreciate a piece of junk than start out with a really nice car as my fir
👎 NEGATIVE
Sick car, but not safe. No ABS. What is an airbag? Roof crumples like a tin can in a roll. Vacuum tubes everywhere. OBDII? Ha, no. This thing is a labor of love. D- for a starter car. A+ for style.
