Renault Scenic:
The Renault Scénic , also spelled without the acute accent as Scenic, especially in languages other than French, is a car which was produced by French car manufacturer Renault, the first to be labelled as a small multi-purpose vehicle in Europe. The first generation was based on the chassis of the Mégane, a small family car. It became the 1997 European Car of the Year on its launch in November 1996. In May 2022 Renault announced it was discontinuing the standard Scénic with the Grand Scénic following shortly after. It was relaunched in 2024 as a fully electric vehicle called the Renault Scénic E-Tech which is the production version of the Renault Scénic Vision concept unveiled in 2022, with the production version to be unveiled at the 2023 Munich Motor Show on September 4....(Read more on Wikipedia)

Performance Verdict
While adequate for the standard Scenic, the added weight of the 7-seat configuration makes this engine feel underpowered, especially when fully loaded.
Fuel Economy
Still offers good fuel economy for a petrol 7-seater, but real-world figures might suffer due to the engine working harder.
Best Use Case:
City / Light family use
Pros and Cons:
Pros:
- • Spacious and versatile 7-seat interior, ideal for families
- • Comfortable ride quality, soaking up road imperfections well
- • Excellent fuel economy from the dCi diesel engines, especially the 1.5 and 1.6 dCi
- • Good safety rating with 5-star Euro NCAP
- • Practical storage solutions and flexible seating arrangements
Cons:
- • Some petrol engines (1.6 16V, 1.2 TCe 115hp in 7-seat) can feel underpowered
- • CVT gearbox can be unrefined and noisy under acceleration
- • Interior plastics can feel a bit cheap in places compared to rivals
- • Rear visibility can be restricted due to large pillars
- • Reliability can be a mixed bag, with some common electronic or DPF issues
