Performance Verdict

Offers strong, smooth acceleration with its naturally aspirated V6, making it a capable cruiser. Performance is effortless, though not outright sporty.

Fuel Economy

As expected for a large petrol V6 with an automatic gearbox, fuel consumption is high, particularly in urban environments.

Best Use Case: Highway cruising and long-distance touring, where its power and refinement can be best appreciated.

Pros and Cons:

Pros:

  • • Striking and elegant coupe styling stands out from rivals.
  • • High levels of comfort and refinement, especially on long journeys.
  • • Excellent choice of powerful and economical diesel engines, particularly the V6 dCi.
  • • Often represents strong value on the used car market.
  • • Good standard equipment levels for the price.

Cons:

  • • Rear passenger space is limited, typical for a coupe.
  • • Interior design, while comfortable, can feel dated compared to premium German rivals.
  • • Resale values are generally lower than its German competitors.
  • • Some historical reliability concerns, though Phase II models saw improvements.
  • • Steering can lack the ultimate feedback desired by keen drivers.
