Rating 3 stars

Performance Verdict

The entry-level petrol, offering adequate but uninspiring performance, requiring more effort to get up to speed, especially when fully loaded.

Fuel Economy

Decent fuel economy for a naturally aspirated petrol, but the lack of torque means it can feel strained, potentially impacting real-world efficiency.

Best Use Case: Mainly city driving or for drivers with less demanding performance expectations.

Pros and Cons:

Pros:

  • • Exceptional interior space and versatility with removable seats.
  • • High level of comfort for long journeys.
  • • Strong 5-star Euro NCAP safety rating for its era.
  • • Distinctive and modern design for an MPV.
  • • Wide range of engine options to suit different needs.

Cons:

  • • Some engines, particularly the V6 petrol, have high fuel consumption.
  • • Known for potential electrical and reliability issues, especially in earlier models.
  • • Large exterior dimensions can make city parking and maneuvering challenging.
  • • Certain diesel engines (e.g., early 2.2 dCi) had known issues.
  • • Higher maintenance costs compared to some rivals.
