3.3 i V6 (160 Hp) Verdict:

Rating 3 stars

Performance Verdict

The 3.3L V6 offers the best balance of power and torque for the Voyager II. While still hampered by the 3-speed automatic, it provides more confident acceleration and better highway cruising ability than the other options, making it the most capable for family duties.

Fuel Economy

Fuel economy is typical for a V6 minivan of this era. It's not outstanding, but generally better than the 3.0L V6 and offers a better power-to-economy ratio than the 2.4L given the vehicle's weight.

Best Use Case: Mixed / Highway

Pros and Cons:

Pros:

  • • Spacious and versatile interior with flexible seating options
  • • Comfortable ride quality, ideal for long family trips
  • • Good visibility from the driver's seat
  • • Reliable 3.3L V6 engine option
  • • Affordable on the used market

Cons:

  • • Dated 3-speed automatic transmission severely limits performance and economy
  • • Low Euro NCAP safety rating for adult occupants
  • • Interior materials can feel cheap and prone to wear
  • • Average fuel economy across the lineup
  • • Potential for transmission issues (especially with earlier models)
