1.5 (103 Hp) Automatic Verdict:

Rating 4 stars

Performance Verdict

The 1.5L 3SZ-VE engine delivers 103 Hp, which is adequate for daily urban driving and light highway use. The 4-speed automatic transmission, while reliable, can feel dated and may require planning for overtaking or steep inclines, especially with a full load.

Fuel Economy

Fuel economy is generally decent for a naturally aspirated 1.5L engine in an MPV. However, the older 4-speed automatic gearbox is not as optimized for efficiency as modern transmissions, potentially impacting consumption on longer journeys.

Best Use Case: City / Suburban Commuting & Family Transport

Pros and Cons:

Pros:

  • • Affordable purchase price and running costs
  • • Practical 7-seater configuration for families
  • • Proven engine reliability (3SZ-VE)
  • • Compact dimensions for city maneuverability

Cons:

  • • Dated 4-speed automatic transmission
  • • Modest performance, especially when fully loaded
  • • Basic safety features compared to newer rivals
  • • Interior materials and refinement are utilitarian
