Performance Verdict

The K20A engine is a masterpiece of natural aspiration, delivering exhilarating power at high RPMs with Honda's renowned i-VTEC system. Its responsiveness and linear power delivery are exceptional for a naturally aspirated unit.

Fuel Economy

While not a primary focus, the K20A offers reasonable fuel economy for a performance engine, especially when driven conservatively. Spirited driving, however, will see consumption rise significantly.

  • • Exceptional handling and chassis dynamics
  • • Standard helical limited-slip differential (LSD)
  • • Distinctive and aggressive sedan styling
  • • Honda's renowned build quality and reliability

Cons:

  • • Very stiff ride, especially on rough roads
  • • High interior noise levels at speed
  • • Fuel economy can be poor when driven hard
  • • Limited availability outside of Japan (JDM import)
  • • Lack of low-end torque compared to turbocharged rivals
