The Tahoe is sold in North America, parts of Asia such as the Philippines, and the Middle East, plus other countries including Bolivia, Chile, Peru, Colombia, Ecuador, and Angola as a left-hand-drive vehicle. Solid V8 performance, capable of handling the heavier 2500 chassis with decent power for most tasks.

Fuel Economy

Poor fuel economy, a common trait for the 2500 series, but offers a balance over the 8.1L.

Best Use Case: Utility / General Hauling

Pros and Cons:

Pros:

  • • Massive interior space for passengers and cargo
  • • Exceptional towing and hauling capabilities, especially with the 8.1L V8

  • • Robust and generally reliable V8 engines and drivetrain
  • • Strong presence and classic SUV styling

Cons:

  • • Very poor fuel economy across the entire engine lineup
  • • Large size can make city driving and parking challenging
  • • Interior materials, while durable, can feel dated and plasticky
  • • Handling is truck-like, with noticeable body roll
  • • Braking performance can be adequate but not inspiring for its weight
