GMC Canyon:

The Chevrolet Colorado is a series of compact pickup trucks and mid-size pickup trucks marketed by American automaker General Motors. They were introduced in 2004 to replace the Chevrolet S-10 and GMC S-15/Sonoma compact pickups. The Colorado is named after the U. The Chevrolet Colorado and its twin, the GMC Canyon, were jointly designed by GM's North American operations, GM's Brazil operations, and Isuzu, which began selling its own version worldwide in 2002. Production began in October 2003. In late 2005, Isuzu offered a version in North America called the Isuzu i-series. This North American model Isuzu shared North American powertrains, styling, and equipment with the Colorado/Canyon twins and differed from Isuzu's worldwide offering. 3.6 V6 (308 Hp) 4WD Automatic Verdict:

Rating 4 stars

Performance Verdict

A robust gasoline V6 offering strong acceleration and ample power for daily driving, highway cruising, and moderate towing, complemented by a smooth 8-speed automatic and capable 4WD.

Fuel Economy

Acceptable fuel economy for a V6 mid-size truck with 4WD, though it won't match diesel efficiency, especially in urban settings.

Best Use Case: General utility, moderate towing, light off-roading, and buyers prioritizing gasoline power with all-weather capability.

Pros and Cons:

Pros:

  • • Strong engine options, especially the torque-rich Duramax diesel
  • • Impressive towing and hauling capabilities for its class
  • • Comfortable and well-appointed interior for a mid-size truck
  • • Capable off-road performance with available 4WD
  • • Modern technology and safety features

Cons:

  • • Gasoline V6 fuel economy can be high, especially with 4WD
  • • Ride quality can be stiff, typical for a body-on-frame truck
  • • Rear seat space can be tight for adult passengers on longer journeys
  • • Interior materials, while good, aren't always premium-feeling
  • • Higher price point compared to some competitors
