3.6 i V6 24V (240 Hp) Automatic Verdict:

Rating 8 stars

Performance Verdict

A more modern and potent V6, delivering noticeably stronger acceleration and better overall responsiveness than the 3.8L. Provides a good balance of power and refinement.

Fuel Economy

Improved fuel efficiency compared to the older 3.8L, especially on the highway, thanks to its more advanced design. Still a large V6, so urban economy remains moderate.

Best Use Case: Mixed Driving / Highway

Pros and Cons:

Pros:

  • • Spacious and comfortable interior
  • • Smooth and quiet ride quality
  • • Good value for a large sedan
  • • Reliable 3.8L V6 option
  • • Powerful V8 option for performance

Cons:

  • • Outdated interior design and materials
  • • Mediocre fuel economy for V6s, poor for V8
  • • Handling is soft, not engaging
  • • Some reliability concerns with 3.6L timing chains and 5.3L AFM
  • • Lack of modern safety features compared to newer cars
