The Isuzu Trooper is a full-size SUV manufactured and marketed by Isuzu between September 1981 and September 2002 over two generations, the first, produced between 1981 and 1991; and the second produced between 1991 and 2002, the latter with a mid-cycle refresh in 1998. In its earliest iterations, the Trooper was based on the company's first generation Isuzu Faster/Chevrolet LUV pickup.

SLX Overview:
Acura SLX (SLX). With 312 Nm of torque, it offers ample pulling power. At around 2095 kg, it’s on the heavier side. All‑wheel drive provides excellent grip, ideal for off‑road use. Acceleration is good (0–100 km/h in 9 s). The top speed reaches 175 km/h. A sport utility vehicle offering higher ground clearance and versatile cargo space. Seating for 5 makes it ideal for daily use.
The Acura SLX (Isuzu Trooper) was not tested by Euro NCAP. US crash tests for the Trooper indicated mediocre to poor performance for its era, typical of many truck-based SUVs from the late 1990s.

This 3.5L V6 offers respectable power for a large SUV of its time, providing decent acceleration and sufficient grunt for highway cruising and light towing.

Fuel consumption at 15 l/100 km is high, but typical for a naturally aspirated V6 in a heavy, all-wheel-drive SUV from the late 90s.
