Toyota Corolla:

The Toyota Corolla is a series of compact cars manufactured and marketed globally by the Japanese automaker Toyota Motor Corporation. Introduced in 1966, the Corolla has been the world's best-selling automobile nameplate of all time since 1997, when it surpassed the Volkswagen Beetle. Toyota reached the milestone of 50 million Corollas sold over twelve generations in 2021.
The name Corolla is part of Toyota's naming tradition of using names derived from the Toyota Crown for sedans, with "corolla" Latin for "small crown". The Corolla has always been exclusive in Japan to Toyota Corolla Store locations, and manufactured in Japan with a twin, called the Toyota Sprinter until 2000. From 2006 to 2018 in Japan and much of the world, and from 2018 to 2020 in Taiwan, the hatchback companion had been called the Toyota Auris....(Read more on Wikipedia)

Those models are overpriced used, better buy new. You can get a base trim Corolla new for $25k, maybe you can also find a new Subaru Impreza or Mazda 3 for $25k. Or you could get a new Hyundai Elantra or Nissan Sentra for $20k, the current models are not as unreliable as reddit suggests. If you want to avoid a CVT you could also get a bigger, more comforable Hyundai Sonata with a conventional auto

>I don’t have a crazy long daily commute, AWD is not a necessity, and I’m just looking for something comfortable and reliable with decent gas mileage. You might need to stretch your budget just a little but I would take a hard look at a new Corolla Hybrid. At least for Toyotas and Hondas buying a late model used one instead of new rarely has made sense for the last 20 years because they de

Corolla is the better car. Ie not a shoebox

Corolla hatchback has my vote. Styling is on point, 2 years free maintenance, and tss 3.0 it's a great warm hatch.

All things equal the Corolla is probably a better car....

My perfect car would also be the Corolla Touring Sports Hybrid if they'd bring it to US. But instead they will flood the market with more SUVs and crossovers. If they brought the wagon to the states I'd buy one immediately. That said, I'm currently leaning toward an Accord hybrid for my next car. The Tourx is appealing and heavily discounted but 21mpg in the city is a deal breaker with my com

You can't really go wrong with a corolla or camry. If you wanted something around about the same, but a little less boring, a lexus IS is essentially a flashier Camry. I have one and its great. Out of the EVs I would go the Tesla, in 2019, Tesla were the kings of EV (That's now BYD) so their ride was the best of the bunch. The Kia carnival is decent also, but honestly if you think the IX35 is expe

Just get the Corolla. Don’t bother with the other options if you already found a Corolla if you want the highest longevity. The VW 2.0T engines still consume oil. 2018 Sonata could have faulty engine that blows up at random where a rod tears a hole through the engine block. The Nissan could be okay but the quality isn’t very good. Especially with Nissan going bankrupt. I saw one new and the the
