2.0 i V6 24V GPX (200 Hp) Automatic Verdict:

Rating 5 stars

Performance Verdict

The flagship MIVEC V6 engine delivers exhilarating performance with 200 Hp, especially at higher RPMs. The automatic transmission, while smooth, can slightly dull the raw edge compared to a manual.

Fuel Economy

As the most powerful engine, expect higher fuel consumption, especially when driven enthusiastically. The MIVEC system helps optimize efficiency, but it's still a performance-oriented V6.

Best Use Case: Highway / Spirited Driving

Pros and Cons:

Pros:

  • • Distinctive and attractive styling
  • • Engaging V6 engine options (especially MIVEC)
  • • Good handling for a FWD coupe
  • • Unique JDM appeal and rarity
  • • Generally reliable Mitsubishi engineering

Cons:

  • • Primarily Right-Hand Drive (RHD) only, limiting accessibility
  • • Parts availability can be challenging outside Japan
  • • Interior design is dated by modern standards
  • • Fuel economy can be high, especially for V6 models (and given data points)
  • • Front-wheel drive might deter some sports car purists
