2.5 (166 Hp) 4x4 Verdict:

Rating 3 stars

Performance Verdict

A decent petrol option, but lacks the low-end torque of the diesels, requiring higher revs for power. Suitable for lighter duties.

Fuel Economy

Significantly less fuel-efficient than all diesel counterparts, making it a more expensive option to run, especially with frequent heavy loads.

Best Use Case: Markets with petrol preference, lighter commercial use, less frequent towing, where diesel emissions or cost are a concern.

Pros and Cons:

Pros:

  • • Excellent towing and payload capacity
  • • Strong off-road capabilities with robust 4x4 system
  • • High Euro NCAP safety rating (5 stars)
  • • Wide range of powerful and efficient diesel engine options
  • • Durable and rugged build quality

Cons:

  • • Fuel economy can be high, especially for petrol and 3.2L automatic models
  • • Ride comfort can be firm, typical for a leaf-sprung pickup
  • • Large dimensions can make urban maneuvering challenging
  • • Interior materials, while durable, may feel utilitarian compared to SUVs
