Pro II (facelift 2023) Overview:
BYD Song (Pro II (facelift 2023)). With 135 Nm of torque, it offers ample pulling power. Front‑wheel drive delivers efficiency and easy handling. A sport utility vehicle offering higher ground clearance and versatile cargo space. Seating for 5 makes it ideal for daily use.
Performance Verdict
Delivers the same robust 197 Hp system power, ensuring strong acceleration and responsive driving dynamics, particularly with the electric motor's immediate torque delivery. The 1.5L ICE provides reliable backup for extended drives.
Fuel Economy
Achieves an impressive 5.3 l/100 km combined fuel economy. While the 12.9 kWh battery offers a shorter electric range compared to the 18.3 kWh variant (estimated around 60-70 km), it still provides significant EV-only capability for daily city driving.
Best Use Case:
Well-suited for urban drivers seeking a plug-in hybrid with good efficiency and sufficient electric range for daily city driving, with the flexibility of a petrol engine for longer trips where charging might be less frequent.
Pros and Cons:
Pros:
- • Highly efficient DM-i PHEV powertrain with competitive electric range.
- • Modern and attractive design with a spacious and practical interior.
- • Competitive pricing for a plug-in hybrid SUV, offering strong value.

Cons:
- • Limited global market availability and developing service network outside of China.
- • Brand recognition and long-term reliability data are still growing in international markets.
