Performance Verdict
The 2.5 TDI with 150 Hp and 295 Nm torque offers strong pulling power, making it well-suited for highway cruising and carrying heavy loads. Acceleration is adequate for a vehicle of its size and era, though not brisk.
Fuel Economy
As a diesel, this engine provides reasonable fuel economy for a large minivan, especially on longer journeys, though it won't match modern efficiency standards. Its 80L tank allows for good range.
Best Use Case:
Long-distance travel, family trips, towing, and light commercial use requiring robust torque.
Pros and Cons:

- • Exceptional interior space and versatility for passengers or cargo
- • Robust and generally reliable diesel engine (2.5 TDI)
- • Comfortable ride quality for long journeys

- • Good towing capability with the 2.5 TDI
Cons:
- • Safety features are dated compared to modern vehicles
- • Fuel economy is not competitive with newer minivans
- • Prone to rust, especially on older, less maintained examples
- • Acceleration can be leisurely, particularly when fully loaded
- • Interior plastics and design are utilitarian and show their age
