2.3 VR5 20V (170 Hp) Tiptronic Verdict:

Rating 8 stars

Performance Verdict

Offers strong, smooth power delivery, though the Tiptronic automatic slightly dulls acceleration compared to the manual.

Fuel Economy

Fuel consumption is on the higher side, especially in urban driving, typical for a larger petrol engine with an automatic gearbox.

Best Use Case: Highway / Enthusiast (for the engine character)

Pros and Cons:

Pros:

  • • Wide range of efficient and reliable engines, especially TDIs
  • • Solid build quality and durable interior materials
  • • Comfortable ride quality, suitable for long journeys

  • • Rear legroom is adequate but not generous for taller passengers
  • • Some models prone to rust in certain areas (e.g., front wings)
