II Overview:
Vauxhall Carlton Mk (II). With 158 Nm of torque, it offers ample pulling power. It has moderate fuel consumption (~11.6 l/100km). Weighing only 1130 kg, it’s quite light. Rear‑wheel drive offers dynamic handling and sporty feedback. A four-door car with a separate trunk, ideal for families and daily commuting. Seating for 5 makes it ideal for daily use.
Performance Verdict
A solid, if not exhilarating, performer. Adequate for daily driving and comfortable cruising, though slightly less potent than the 'E' variant.
Fuel Economy
Similar to the 2.0 E, offering acceptable but not outstanding fuel efficiency for its time, typical for a carburetted 2.0L.
Best Use Case:
Daily commuting / Family transport
