2.7 (189 Hp) Automatic Verdict:

Rating 3 stars

Performance Verdict

Provides adequate power (189 Hp) for city driving and light highway use, but its 9.8 sec 0-100km/h acceleration can feel sluggish when fully loaded or during aggressive overtaking.

Fuel Economy

Offers the best fuel economy among the non-hybrid options at 9.8 l/100 km combined, presenting a reasonable compromise for its power output.

Best Use Case: Primarily city driving and light suburban use where fuel economy is a priority and high performance or all-wheel drive is not a primary requirement.

Pros and Cons:

Pros:

  • • Exceptional Toyota reliability and durability
  • • Spacious and versatile interior with available third-row seating
  • • Smooth and comfortable ride quality
  • • Strong V6 engine options and highly efficient hybrid powertrains
  • • Good resale value

Cons:

  • • High fuel consumption for non-hybrid V6 models
  • • Less engaging driving dynamics compared to some rivals
  • • Interior materials, while durable, can feel dated or less premium
  • • No Euro NCAP safety rating available for this generation
