Toyota Corolla:

The Toyota Corolla is a series of compact cars manufactured and marketed globally by the Japanese automaker Toyota Motor Corporation. Introduced in 1966, the Corolla has been the world's best-selling automobile nameplate of all time since 1997, when it surpassed the Volkswagen Beetle. Toyota reached the milestone of 50 million Corollas sold over twelve generations in 2021.
The name Corolla is part of Toyota's naming tradition of using names derived from the Toyota Crown for sedans, with "corolla" Latin for "small crown". The Corolla has always been exclusive in Japan to Toyota Corolla Store locations, and manufactured in Japan with a twin, called the Toyota Sprinter until 2000. From 2006 to 2018 in Japan and much of the world, and from 2018 to 2020 in Taiwan, the hatchback companion had been called the Toyota Auris....(Read more on Wikipedia)

2014 Corolla here, closing in on 120,000miles and the only repair I’ve had to make was during covid when mice ate some wires because my car sat in the driveway too long. If I’m being honest I’m painfully bored of the car at this point and on the verge of buying something much less practical but the corolla has been such a champ for me for 7+ years now.

The reason why uses Corolla’s cost so much now is because of posts like this

It’s true. It’s like a rite of passage. I had a 98 rolla and drove that bitch to extinction. I did so much shit to it when I was younger, I abused it and it never let me down. I had doubts as to how far I’d feel like taking it but I drove that shit on hella road trips surprisingly. It was a good car, loyal. No issues ever. Just get the oil change and you good. I miss it, I’ll never forget when I w

The corrolla is and always has been a car you buy because you don't really care. It's a car. It gets good gas mileage. It won't break down. It's safe. It's not aggressively ugly in any way. You can't point at anything that is "wrong" with it. It is a turkey and cheese sandwich on white bread and that's exactly what many people want.
😐 NEUTRAL
I just read the article to see where the civic really gets the winning advantage over the corolla and there is no punch line lol Stupid article I rather the Corolla and not worry about the turbo problems 200,000 down the road Then again I would never buy a car and own for that long
👍 POSITIVE
I'll give it to Toyota that the Corolla looks much better this year. Much better.
😐 NEUTRAL
"Trust us, no one will look at your Corolla XSE and think "basic transportation." Everyone is always going to think Corollas are basic transportation.......
👎 NEGATIVE
Corolla's are one of the least joyful cars to drive. Absolutely hate those things. Had one as a loaner once and it was a newer one, 2018.......no, never again.
😐 NEUTRAL
This isn’t interesting, it’s a Toyota, this is normal.
😐 NEUTRAL
The ultimate test of good maintenance and luck.
