The Tata Safari II has not undergone Euro NCAP testing. However, the updated Safari (same generation) received a 5-star rating in Bharat NCAP crash tests in 2023 for both adult and child occupant protection.

Performance Verdict
The 170 Hp Kryotec diesel engine paired with the automatic transmission offers smooth power delivery and adequate acceleration for both city driving and highway cruising. Torque is readily available from low RPMs.
Fuel Economy
Being a diesel, it delivers reasonable fuel economy for its size and power output, though the automatic might be slightly less efficient than its manual counterpart in specific conditions.
