WOW this was an awesome post of info. I just recently purchased a 2018 Crosstrek and have been doing tons of research on how to properly change my set up. I have the OEM 17" and am looking into getting the Black Rhino Boxer wheels in 15" which I believe covers the brakes and calipers. I was thinking about doing the Falken Wildpeak 235/75/15 . I know I need to lift my vehicle so by any chance c

How is 2018 the second worst when the complaints are basically the auto break being aggressive and the base infotainment system? (How dare you insult my Fozzy like that. Even if the infotainment system is ass)

Have a ‘19 forester, and can confirm there’s been lots of issues. After the first 2 years of ownership, I’ve had a problem about every 6 months. It’s my first and last Subaru.

My '19 Forester Premium has far surpassed my expectations than my '21 Tacoma TRD Pro did. I sold the Tacoma in 1.5 years. Best decision I made and now I'm even happier with my Forester.

Every subreddit has a tendency to either draw people who have problems with a thing asking for advice, or people critical of the thing in general. So there’s always a bit of observation bias. My first Subaru went to 300k before someone crashed into it, and my current (Forester) is over 200k (also 20+ years old). That said, newer ones maybe are more prone to things? I can’t really say.
