2.0 e-XGDi (224 Hp) 4WD Automatic Verdict:

Rating 4 stars

Performance Verdict

The most powerful petrol option, providing brisk acceleration but potentially less low-end torque than the diesel for heavy loads.

Fuel Economy

Higher fuel consumption compared to the diesel, especially with 4WD and automatic, making it less economical for high mileage.

Best Use Case: Urban driving, occasional light towing, and those preferring petrol power over diesel characteristics.

Pros and Cons:

Pros:

  • • Excellent value for money
  • • Strong towing capacity (up to 3.5 tonnes)
  • • Robust and reliable diesel engine options
  • • Comfortable ride for a ladder-frame pickup
  • • Spacious interior and practical load bed

Cons:

  • • Interior refinement lags behind some rivals
  • • Petrol engines are less fuel-efficient for a pickup
  • • Brand perception can be a hurdle for some buyers
  • • Safety assist features are adequate but not class-leading
