1.0 G-TEC (68 Hp) CNG Verdict:

Rating 4 stars

Performance Verdict

Performance is adequate for city driving, similar to the 60 hp petrol but with a slightly different power delivery. The focus is on running costs, not outright speed.

Fuel Economy

Potentially very low running costs if CNG infrastructure is readily available. Fuel economy in CNG mode is excellent, making it a very cheap car to operate.

Best Use Case: City / Specific Markets with CNG

Pros and Cons:

Pros:

  • • Exceptional maneuverability and compact size for urban environments.
  • • Very low running costs, especially with the iV electric and G-TEC CNG options.
  • • Practical interior packaging for its size, including a decent boot.
  • • Proven reliability from the VW Group platform.
  • • Good visibility and easy to park.

Cons:

  • • Limited power from petrol engines, especially the 60 hp variants.
  • • ASG automated manual gearbox is clunky and detracts from driving experience.
  • • Basic interior materials and limited rear passenger space.
  • • Can feel underpowered and noisy on longer highway journeys.
  • • CNG infrastructure can be limited in some regions.
