2500 6.7 Cummins TD (350 Hp) Verdict:

Rating 5 stars

Performance Verdict

A solid and reliable performer, providing strong, consistent power for general heavy-duty tasks and everyday driving for a large truck.

Fuel Economy

Likely the most fuel-efficient among the diesel trims due to its 2WD configuration and lack of DRW, offering the best balance for a heavy-duty diesel.

Best Use Case: General work truck, moderate towing, daily driving for those needing heavy-duty capability without 4x4 or DRW.

Pros and Cons:

Pros:

  • • Exceptional towing and hauling capabilities, especially with the Cummins diesel.
  • • Durable and highly reliable powertrains, particularly the 6.7L Cummins.
  • • Spacious Crew Cab offers ample room for passengers and gear.
  • • Available 4x4 and Dual Rear Wheel (DRW) configurations for maximum utility and stability.
  • • Robust chassis and suspension designed for heavy loads and demanding work.

Cons:

  • • Poor fuel economy, especially with the 5.7L Hemi V8 or under heavy load.
  • • Large size can make maneuvering challenging in urban environments or tight spaces.
  • • Stiff ride quality when the truck is unladen, typical for heavy-duty vehicles.
  • • Higher purchase price and running costs compared to lighter-duty trucks.
  • • Interior might feel utilitarian compared to some competitors' more refined offerings.
