Calibra production was based in the Opel factory in Rüsselsheim, Germany, and the Valmet Automotive factory in Uusikaupunki, Finland, where production was consolidated in November 1995. 2.5 V6 (170 Hp) Automatic Verdict:
Performance Verdict
Offers smooth V6 power, but the automatic transmission dulls acceleration, making it more suited for relaxed cruising than spirited driving.
Fuel Economy
The V6 combined with an automatic gearbox results in relatively high fuel consumption, especially in urban settings, impacting overall efficiency.
Pros and Cons:
Pros:
- • Timeless and aerodynamic design
- • Excellent performance from 2.0 Turbo and 2.5 V6 engines
- • Good handling, especially with 4x4 variants
- • Practical coupe with decent boot space
- • Strong community and parts availability
Cons:

- • Fuel economy can be high on performance and automatic models
- • Interior plastics feel dated by modern standards
- • Potential for rust on older models
- • Some specific engine issues (e.g., C20LET oil leaks, X25XE head gaskets)
