Nissan Bluebird:

The Nissan Bluebird is a compact car produced between 1955 and 2007 with a model name introduced in 1957. It was Nissan's most internationally recognized sedan, known for its dependability and durability in multiple body styles. Every generation of the Bluebird has been available as a taxi, duties that are shared with base level Nissan Cedrics. It is one of the longest-running nameplates from a Japanese automaker. It spawned most of Nissan's products sold internationally, and has been known by a number of different names and bodystyles, including the Auster/Stanza names....(Read more on Wikipedia)

2.0i (145 Hp) CVT Verdict:

Rating 4 stars

Performance Verdict

Delivers smooth power, but the CVT can make acceleration feel less immediate compared to traditional automatics or manuals. Adequate for most situations.

Fuel Economy

Slightly higher fuel consumption than the manual 2.0i due to the CVT, but still acceptable for its power output.

Best Use Case: Comfort-oriented daily driving, city and light highway use where smooth, effortless acceleration is preferred.

Pros and Cons:

Pros:

  • • Excellent reliability and durability, typical of Nissan models from this era.
  • • Wide range of engine options, including a high-performance SR20VE and economical diesels.
  • • Practical and spacious interior for a mid-size sedan.
  • • Available AWD (Attesa) for enhanced traction in various conditions.
  • • Good value for money on the used market.

Cons:

  • • Styling can be considered bland or dated compared to some contemporaries.
  • • CVT transmissions, while smooth, can sometimes dull the driving experience.
