Overall Rating
Nissan Altima:
The Nissan Altima is a mid-size car manufactured by Nissan since 1992. It is a continuation of the Nissan Bluebird line, which began in 1955.
The Altima has historically been larger, more powerful, and more luxurious than the Nissan Sentra but less so than the Nissan Maxima. While smooth, the CVT can make the 2.5L engine feel less responsive under hard acceleration, exhibiting the typical 'rubber band' effect. It's best suited for relaxed driving.

Generally good fuel economy, especially on highways, as the CVT keeps the engine in its optimal rev range. A practical choice for efficiency-minded drivers.
