Overall Rating
Mitsubishi Delica:
The Mitsubishi Delica is a range of vans and pickup trucks designed and built by the Japanese automaker Mitsubishi Motors since 1968. It was originally based on a cabover van and pickup truck introduced the previous year, also called the Delica, its name a contraction of the English language phrase Delivery car. This pickup truck, and a commercial van derived from it has received many names in export markets, being sold as the L300 in Europe, Jamaica and New Zealand, Express and Starwagon in Australia, and plain Mitsubishi Van and Wagon in the United States. The passenger car versions were known as Delica Star Wagon from 1979 until the 1994 introduction of the Delica Space Gear, which became simply Space Gear in Europe at least. The most recent version is called the Delica D:5. With the exception of the first, versions of all generations are still being sold in various international markets....(Read more on Wikipedia)

2.4 (170 Hp) Verdict:
Performance Verdict
With 170 Hp from the 2.4L MIVEC engine, this front-wheel-drive variant offers slightly better performance and responsiveness compared to its 4WD counterpart due to reduced weight. The 10.5-second 0-100 km/h acceleration is solid for a family minivan.
Fuel Economy
The 2.4L petrol engine in the FWD configuration generally offers marginally better fuel economy than the 4WD model. It provides a good balance for daily driving and longer journeys without the added complexity and weight of the all-wheel-drive system.
Pros and Cons:
Pros:
- • Spacious and versatile interior with 8 seats
- • Optional robust 4WD system for varied terrain
- • Reputable Mitsubishi reliability and durability
- • Comfortable ride quality for long journeys
- • Good value for money, especially in the used market
Cons:
- • Fuel economy for the 2.4L petrol engine can be moderate
- • Interior design might feel dated compared to newer rivals
- • Limited availability in some international markets
- • Not officially Euro NCAP tested
