220 (80 Hp) Verdict:

Rating 4 stars

Performance Verdict

The 80 Hp M 180 I engine provided smooth and adequate performance for its time, allowing a top speed of 140 km/h and a 0-100 km/h acceleration in 21 seconds, which was competitive for a luxury sedan of the early 1950s.

Fuel Economy

With a combined fuel consumption of 10.9 l/100 km, the 220 (80 Hp) offered reasonable economy for a six-cylinder luxury car of its era, though it would be considered high by modern standards.

Best Use Case: Classic touring, leisurely drives, and collector events. Suitable for comfortable cruising on period-appropriate roads rather than high-speed modern highways.
