Overall Rating
Infiniti Q45:
The Infiniti Q45 is a full-size luxury sedan that was marketed by the Infiniti division of Nissan from the 1990 to 2006 model years. The inaugural product line and flagship sedan of the brand, the Q45 competed directly against the Acura Legend and Lexus LS 400, as multiple Japanese automobile manufacturers began to establish dedicated luxury-vehicle brands in North America during the late 1980s.
As with the Lexus LS, the Q45 also competed against the BMW 7-Series and Mercedes-Benz S-Class, matching them closely in size. Three generations of the model line were produced. The third and final generation was again derived from the Cima, again sharing a platform with the President....(Read more on Wikipedia)
II Overview:
Infiniti Q45 (II). With 378 Nm of torque, it offers ample pulling power. With a weight of 1760 kg, it falls in the mid‑range. Rear‑wheel drive offers dynamic handling and sporty feedback. Acceleration is good (0–100 km/h in 7.9 s). The top speed reaches 232 km/h. A four-door car with a separate trunk, ideal for families and daily commuting. Seating for 5 makes it ideal for daily use.
The Infiniti Q45 II was not officially tested by Euro NCAP. As a luxury sedan of its era, it would have included standard safety features like ABS and multiple airbags, offering a reasonable level of protection for its time.
4.1 i V8 32 (269 Hp) Verdict:
Performance Verdict
The 4.1L V8 (VH41DE) offers smooth, ample power for comfortable cruising and confident overtaking, though it's not a sports sedan. Acceleration is respectable for its size and era, providing effortless highway performance.
Fuel Economy
As expected for a large V8 from the late 1990s, fuel economy is a significant drawback, especially in urban driving. Highway cruising offers slightly better, but still thirsty, consumption, making it costly to run.
