The first three generations of Holden produced Commodores were based on the Opel designed V-body rear-wheel drive automotive platform, which was the basis of GM's largest European models, but were structurally strengthened, mechanically modified, and, in time, enlarged by Holden for Australian road conditions, production needs, and market demands. Me, reading: This has an Australian vibe, I bet Aaron drove a Commodore OOP: "his car is a 1650kg commodore wagon" Nailed it.

asking $50k for a bloody commodore is actually so funny. this dudes what we in Australia call a fucking numpty.
👎 NEGATIVE
Fuck GM for exiting right hand drive markets entirely. And for neutering once great brands like Saab and Holden.
👎 NEGATIVE
Regardless of politics and the financial situation, it’s an absolute tragedy. The Falcon and the Commodore, even though they’re synonymous with idiot teenagers crashing into poles at 200km/h and methed out bogans, were staples of the Aussie family for decades. Nearly everyone had one growing up, and nearly every car enthusiast here has a stupid story involving one. I blew up a 3.8L VP Commodore af

As an American who’s only seen a handful of Holdens, their death kills me. GTO’s, the Chevy SS, pretty much anything based around the Holden platforms were beautiful wild designs. Makes sense why General Mismanagement axed them when I think of it like that.
👎 NEGATIVE
Man some people really need to take off their tire smoke tinted glasses here. Stop acting like it made *any* business sense for GM to keep Holden around and producing their own unique cars.
👍 POSITIVE
It pains me so much because this is my ultimate dream car. I don't want anything else. This is worth way more than the current bid right now to me. It's not a manual but to own the last ever Australian car makes up for it.
👍 POSITIVE
Someone should buy it and slap a big decal on it that says "The Last of the V8 Commodores" on it with big apocalyptic looking font.
👎 NEGATIVE
This is the car that starts making fun of you when you turn on the traction control, right?
