Ford Cougar BCV 2.0i 16V (131 Hp)
Overall Rating
Ford Cougar:

BCV Overview:
Ford Cougar (BCV). With 178 Nm of torque, it offers ample pulling power. It has moderate fuel consumption (~11.6 l/100km). With a weight of 1315 kg, it falls in the mid‑range. Front‑wheel drive delivers efficiency and easy handling. Acceleration is relatively slow (0–100 km/h in 9.6 s). The top speed reaches 209 km/h. A two-door car with a fixed roof, known for its sporty design and dynamic performance. Seating for 4 makes it ideal for daily use.
The Ford Cougar (BCV) generation was not directly tested by Euro NCAP. However, it shared its platform with the Ford Mondeo of the same era, which achieved a 3-star rating in 1997 for adult occupant protection. This suggests a reasonable but not class-leading safety standard for its time.
