The DeSoto Firedome was a full-size automobile produced between 1952 and 1959 by the DeSoto division of the Chrysler Corporation. Fuel Economy

As a large displacement V8 from the 1950s, fuel efficiency was not a priority. Owners should anticipate high fuel consumption, characteristic of classic American luxury cars, making it less economical for daily driving.

What can you say on the comfort of the interior? Have heard some knocks on the 1958 for being too plastic compared to the other trims. Coming from an FJ I’m used to a plastic interior, just would expect a little more for the entry price.
😐 NEUTRAL
My dad almost bought one of these rigs BUT put his money in a '59 Pllymouth sedan instead.

I remember seeing these on an old Groucho Marx show. Does it have the fabled push button transmission?
