4.9 i V8 (203 Hp) Verdict:
Performance Verdict
An older, less powerful V8 offering adequate but uninspiring performance compared to the Northstar. Acceleration to 60 mph takes around 9 seconds.

While less powerful, this engine is still a large V8 and will consume a significant amount of fuel, likely similar to or slightly worse than the base Northstar in real-world driving.

- • Exceptional ride comfort and smooth handling
- • Powerful V8 engines, especially Northstar variants
- • Spacious and luxurious interior for its time

Cons:
- • Poor fuel economy across all V8 engines
- • Known reliability issues with Northstar head gaskets
- • Large exterior dimensions can make city driving and parking challenging
