BMW M6:
The BMW M6 is a high-performance version of the 6 Series marketed under the BMW M sub-brand from 1983 to 2019.
Introduced in the coupe body style, the M6 was also built in convertible and fastback sedan body styles for later generations. An M6 model was built for each of the first three generations of the 6 Series. Production of the M6 ended in 2019 and it was replaced by the BMW M8 in 2019.

Convertible (E64 LCI, facelift 2007) Overview:
BMW M6 (Convertible (E64 LCI, facelift 2007)). With 520 Nm of torque, it offers ample pulling power. With a weight of 1930 kg, it falls in the mid‑range. Rear‑wheel drive offers dynamic handling and sporty feedback. Acceleration is excellent (0–100 km/h in 4.8 s). The top speed reaches 250 km/h. A convertible car with a retractable roof, offering open-air driving experiences. Seating for 4 makes it ideal for daily use.
Performance Verdict
The S85B50A V10 engine is a masterpiece of naturally aspirated engineering, delivering an exhilarating 507 Hp with a spine-tingling 8,250 rpm redline. Paired with the 7-speed SMG-III gearbox, it offers brutal acceleration and a truly visceral driving experience, though the SMG can be abrupt.
Fuel Economy
As expected for a high-revving V10, fuel economy is a significant drawback. The combined figure of 15.2 l/100 km (15.5 MPG US) means frequent fuel stops, especially during spirited driving, making it a costly car to run daily.
Best Use Case:
Weekend spirited drives, grand touring on open roads, and making a statement. Not ideal for daily city commuting due to fuel consumption and SMG characteristics.
Pros and Cons:
Pros:
- • Iconic, high-revving S85 V10 engine sound and power
- • Stunning open-top grand tourer styling

Cons:

- • High maintenance and running costs
- • SMG-III gearbox can be clunky in automatic mode
- • Firm ride quality on rougher roads
