That's Alpina's signature wheel design, I think they look great
👍 POSITIVE
The wheels are one of the best parts about Alpinas. They look especially sick on the older ones.

One of my clients has a B8 and an XB7. Both are in a beautiful blood red. Cool cars
😐 NEUTRAL
I've never been a fan of the Alpina wheels myself, but I do love their product.
😐 NEUTRAL
Saying you hate the wheels on an Alpina but love the color when it's just black is bold lol
😐 NEUTRAL
That IS the Alpina wheel design....
😐 NEUTRAL
My neighbor has one and the wheels look like that stock
👍 POSITIVE
The 4.2 FSI is actually pretty solid compared to the 3.0T in your S4 - main thing to watch for is carbon buildup and maybe some timing chain noise but nothing too crazy for that mileage That price seems decent if it's been maintained properly, I'd just get a PPI done first

Pros and Cons:

Pros:

  • • Exclusivity and rarity (only 221 units built)
  • • Exceptional V8 performance and sound in a compact sedan
  • • Superb handling and chassis balance
  • • High-quality Alpina interior refinements
  • • Manual transmission option (for the 4.0L, 4.6L was also manual)

Cons:

  • • High fuel consumption (for modern standards)
  • • Expensive to maintain due to rare Alpina-specific parts
  • • Lack of modern safety features (no Euro NCAP rating)
  • • Potentially firm ride for some due to sport suspension
  • • Finding well-maintained examples can be challenging
