2.0 TSI (190 Hp) 4Drive DSG Verdict:

Rating 4 stars

Performance Verdict

This is the performance-oriented choice, offering strong acceleration and responsive power delivery thanks to the 190 Hp petrol engine and quick-shifting DSG gearbox. The 4Drive ensures excellent grip.

Fuel Economy

As a powerful petrol AWD, fuel economy will be significantly lower than the diesels, especially under spirited driving. Expect higher running costs but a more engaging driving experience.

Best Use Case: Enthusiastic drivers, those needing strong towing capacity, and individuals prioritizing performance and all-weather capability over absolute fuel economy.

Pros and Cons:

Pros:

  • • Versatile all-wheel-drive capability for varied terrain and weather
  • • Practical and spacious estate body with large boot capacity
  • • Good range of efficient and powerful engines
  • • Comfortable ride quality, especially on longer journeys
  • • Competitive pricing compared to premium AWD estates

Cons:

  • • Interior quality, while good, doesn't quite match premium rivals
  • • Diesel engines can be a bit noisy under hard acceleration
  • • 4Drive system adds weight and slightly impacts fuel economy and acceleration
  • • Rear suspension is semi-independent on some models, potentially affecting handling limits
