1.6i (123 Hp) Verdict:

Rating 4 stars

Performance Verdict

Adequate power for daily commuting, but requires higher revs (6300 rpm for peak power) for spirited driving. Lacks the low-end punch of the turbocharged variant.

Fuel Economy

Reasonable fuel consumption at 5.7 l/100 km for a naturally aspirated 1.6L, though slightly higher than the 1.4T.

Best Use Case: City driving and light highway use where outright performance isn't a priority.

Pros and Cons:

Pros:

  • • Practical and spacious station wagon body style
  • • Good fuel economy, especially with the 1.4T DCT engine
  • • Hyundai's reputation for reliability and low running costs
  • • Competitive pricing offers strong value for money
  • • Comfortable ride quality for daily commuting

Cons:

  • • Modest performance from the naturally aspirated 1.6L engine
  • • Interior materials can feel basic compared to some rivals
  • • Styling might be considered bland by some buyers
  • • Limited availability in global markets (primarily Asia)
  • • Rear suspension is a less sophisticated torsion beam setup
