1.5 Turbo (95 Hp) Verdict:

Rating 4 stars

Performance Verdict

The most powerful engine offered, the 1.5 Turbo provided a significant boost in performance, transforming the Polonez into a surprisingly sprightly vehicle for its class and era.

Fuel Economy

While offering better performance, the turbocharger could lead to higher fuel consumption if driven enthusiastically. Under careful driving, it was comparable to the larger naturally aspirated engines.
